Crowns & Realms is a PHP text-based medieval browser game set in a fractured world of nine living realms. You choose your origin, shape your character through text-based choices, and take part in quests, crafting, trading, and realm politics.
The nine realms
There was once one crown. Now there are nine. Each realm offers a different origin and a different place to belong.
- Humans. Golden fields, bustling markets, and steadfast kingdoms of faith and steel.
- Warlords. Honor-bound clans where the forge never sleeps and strength earns respect.
- Sylvan. Lantern-lit tree-top villages hidden in the whispering woods.
- Arcane. Floating libraries and crystal spires where magic is taught, not just wielded.
- Infernal. Obsidian cities warmed by ember rivers, where tieflings forge life from fire.
- Marsh. Stilt villages, fishing boats, and firefly evenings on still waters.
- Elementals. Where tide, wind, and stone work together in harmony.
- Necropolis. Quiet marble halls and candlelit scholars who keep the memory of the dead.
- Underworld. Cave chapels, mushroom huts, and hearthlight against the endless cold and darkness.
How your character grows
Develop your character through text-based choices, quests, crafting, trading, and realm politics. Character development includes stats, skills, reputation, and lineage.
You can create your character, choose your realm and race, and decide whether you will be a trader, a sage, a warlord, a hermit, or a kingmaker. The game is built around imagination, writing, community, and consequence.
A world at life
In the Human lowlands, farmers still bring their harvest to market beneath the white tower. In the Warlord crags, the young learn that a hammer can build as well as break. Under the great tree of Sylvan, children tie lanterns to branches for festivals.
Above the clouds, Arcane apprentices argue over floating books. In the warm glow of Infernal, obsidian smiths pull swords from lava. On the Marsh boardwalks, fisherfolk share stories, and in the Elemental confluence, water wheels turn without end.
In Necropolis, scholars light candles for ancestors. In the Underworld, families gather around hearths while water is dripping from dark walls.
This is not a world at war. This is a world at life.
What defines the game
No pay-to-win. No flashy 3D. Just deep lore, player-driven stories, and a world that lives even when you log off.
There are no graphics to tell you what to see. There are only words to show you how it feels to belong somewhere.
