Mobsteria is a text-based multiplayer crime game where every player shares one city on one server, and you play through pages and buttons rather than a 3D map.
Your first hour
Your first hour is crimes: break into cars, shoplift, pick pockets and burgle houses, steal cars into your garage, and take on heists where the odds of success, failure and jail are shown before you commit.
Each action spends Nerve, Focus or Wit, which refill over time, even while you're offline. Progress takes you through 13 ranks, from Tramp to Godfather.
A failed job can land you in jail, and other players can break you out.
City systems and crew play
After that, the city opens up. Join or start a crew, pool money in a shared bank, and fight other crews for influence in each district.
Run Organised Crimes with other players, attack bosses that the whole city fights together, and drop into timed heist events a few times a day.
Investigate a rival, then attack with your own gun and bullets. The game doesn't name the killer unless there is a witness, and a killed character stays dead.
Businesses, markets and sessions
Own businesses, a casino or a bullet factory, trade on the Black Market, or play the casino with in-game money.
Daily Jobs reset every day, and longer Contracts run alongside them. Most sessions are a few minutes, several times a day, whenever your bars have refilled.
Mobsteria is free to play in a web browser, on iOS and Android, and on Steam, with one account across all of them.
