The October 11 updates to NexusRPG add a rare shared Dungeon Rift, better profession Tool finds and four configurable Potion shortcuts. These changes are live in the persistent, text-based browser MMORPG.

A rare shared Dungeon Rift
A shared Dungeon Rift has a 5% chance to appear when an automatic Rift opens. Each new maze has independently random width and height from 10 to 100 tiles. Regular combat and Chest tiles contain 15 to 50 monsters; regular Chests occupy about 8% of the maze and Boss-guarded Grand Chests about 2%. Already opened mazes retain their original layout and loot. It lasts one hour and is accessible from anywhere while open. Players clear monster guards to claim Chests. The leading monster-killer at closing receives level-matched Legendary Equipment; their Clan at closing receives a Legendary Pet only if its Pet Sanctuary has space. Ties go to the first player to reach the total, and standings remain hidden until closing. These monsters give no Character XP or Gold, although successful fights may train Dungeoneering. Unclaimed loot disappears when the Rift closes; awarded loot is kept. Ordinary Personal and Clan Rift Dungeons remain separate.

Better finds without replacing existing gear
New Tools from stronger monsters, World Chests, Contracts and Pet Equipment Search can use stronger profession designs. A Tool's design, rarity and quality are fixed when it is found. Existing Tools and already locked rewards retain their stats.
Crafted Tools keep the full potential of their designs, while field-found Tools use reduced Gathering ratings. Aetherforged remains crafting-only. The two-second Gathering floor is unchanged, so this update improves the range of finds without lowering that limit.
A persistent character, with clearer early goals
NexusRPG lets players switch between eight equipment-based Classes while keeping one lasting character. Combat, Gathering, Gem Crafting, Pets, trading and personal or Clan Dungeons offer different ways to develop it. Clan Capitals and their shared Armory sit alongside personal Kingdoms.
The October 3 guided introduction and Newcomer Path remain available, with equipment comparisons, beginner recipes and automatic signature abilities for complete Classes from Character Level 1. The Quest Journal groups immediate goals and longer Journeys, including solo Class Mastery and profession companions.

The Battle and Quest Journal screenshots show an established character, not starting stats or the new Potion shortcut interface.
