Wildkin adds learnable moves and faster leveling

Wildkin's September 23 update is live. Creatures now learn abilities as they level up, and players can choose three to equip before entering a battle.

Battles remain turn based, but enemies vary their actions instead of following a fixed sequence. Healing, defensive and sacrifice moves give creatures different roles in a team. A creature can support its teammates or give up its remaining health for a powerful attack, depending on the moves it learns.

XP rewards have increased by 35%. Damage and healing numbers now appear above creatures when an action lands, with yellow numbers for critical hits. The expanded map also fills the game window so its labels are easier to read.

Wildkin is a free browser creature-catching RPG in public beta. Choose Petalimp, Cindlet or Mirekip, explore four regions, catch and evolve creatures, and share the overworld with other players. Existing accounts keep their saved progress.
