Account creation didn't work properly. It didn't recognize my password. Also didn't have proper error messages.
Once in the game (started as a quest not as registered user because I wasn't able to log in), there are many UI shortcomings - at character creation you select a "type 1" or "type 2", no idea what those mean. UI is clunky in general, not very intuitive. Definitely needs A LOT of polish. Pathfinding on map is bad (it goes one and the other way), combat view is bad etc.

    Hey @SanderMoss!

Firstly, thank you for trying SoulQuest and taking the time to leave such honest feedback. I really appreciate it!

The registration/password issues and lack of useful error messages definitely need investigating.

Regarding character creation, Type 1 and Type 2 represent different body shapes (roughly masculine/feminine). I deliberately avoided male/female labels because they're intended as body types rather than genders. However, without any explanation, I completely agree they're confusing!

I also agree about the pathfinding, combat and general UI. There's a LOT of polish still needed.

I'll openly admit that UI/UX and testing aren't my strongest areas as a developer! That's why I'm bringing in a dedicated QA tester to help identify issues and improve the overall experience.

UI/UX is actually one of my biggest priorities at present, alongside the ongoing visual overhaul.

SoulQuest is still very much a work in progress, and feedback like yours is invaluable in helping me see things from a player's perspective rather than a developer's.

Thanks again, and I hope you'll stick around to see how things improve! 🙂
