Outer Core

Outer-Core is a free sci-fi strategy game set in the distant future in a shared galaxy where every colony, fleet movement, research project, trade agreement and diplomatic decision you make can change your future.

Building your empire

You start with one homeworld and one colony ship. From there you choose to expand by either establishing new colonies, developing a sustainable economy, extracting resources, constructing infrastructure, developing more advanced technologies and building fleets suited to your strategy.

You can choose to focus on rapid expansion, industrial strength, scientific progress, defensive security or military power and Choose your path shape your empire around it.

A shared galaxy

You and the other commanders share the same galaxy. Make alliances, trade resources, and defend your territory from enemy attacks. Compete for influence.

Battles are important but planning and timing of battles can matter as well as logistical issues. How you treat other players can affect your future in the wider galaxy.

Strategy over time

Outer-Core is a game for those players who enjoy the long term strategy rather than playing a few instant matches. You can come back to it when you like and see the effects of your actions in a living universe.
