I've been playing and enjoying this simple little fishing game for about 5 weeks now, and while this is actually one of my first browser game of recent memory, it is easily my favorite. The dev is always coming up with cool and VERY quickly implemented features and listens to feedback well. Mechanics are simple yet satisfying, and while I don't always like games that have action energy mechanics, this one is done in a way that doesn't leave me lacking in stuff to do! I tried The Fishing Lands and really enjoyed the interactive fishing. Managing the tension bar to land a catch feels satisfying instead of just waiting on a timer. Collecting different species across the waters, upgrading gear, and checking the player market kept me coming back. The pixel art is charming, it’s free with no pay-to-win nonsense, and the shared world with chat and occasional events adds a nice social touch. Perfect for short sessions when you just want to cast a line and unwind.
It's a really nice, cosy game that doesn't require much of a time commitment and can be enjoyed on both pc and mobile. With engaging fishing mechanic and various fun systems, there's always something new to look forward to. It also captures that nostalgic feeling of old browser fishing games, with a shrimple layout and modernised gameplay that fits today's style.
This is a very solid game. If you like the dopamine of number go higher, you'll find yourself in the levelling and mastery systems, if you like completionism, you'll enjoy the journal and the achievements, if you like multiplayer, you'll like the crews, tournaments and duels. I genuinely believe most people will find something to enjoy here.

The Fishing Lands is a very fun game. There's so much to do. Quests, progression, achievements, fish to collect in your journal, and more. It's very addictive. I can't stop playing it every day.

The Fishing Lands is actually a pretty cool browser fishing game lol. There’s tons of different fish to catch and collect, you can upgrade your rods and gear, discover new fishing spots and even fish with other players. I like that its an MMO so theres always more stuff to work towards instead of just catching fish over and over. pretty fun if you like fishing games and grinding for rare stuff
Basic game. Nothing special. If you ask Claude Opus to create a browser-based fishing game, it will probably give you 90% of the same mechanics found in this game, with an almost identical UI. Not worth trying, especially considering how many microtransactions (MTX) are packed into it.
I'd rather ask Claude to create my own game with similar mechanics or pay a one-time price for a polished game with zero MTX.
Unfortunately, this game just isn't worth your time.

You clearly haven't actually played the game. Yes, I use AI, but The Fishing Lands also contains original scripts dating back to 2015, alongside work created by myself and friends. You also claim the game is packed with microtransactions, yet there are none, and you haven't even signed up to verify that. Your review is full of assumptions that don't reflect the actual game. Honestly, this feels more like a personal attack than a genuine review.
