Ashbound has just updated v62 with a new set of equipment goals and ways to flesh out your character's build. Released on October 29, it includes 112 T3 Legendary set pieces across 16 families, an Equipment Workshop, and new theft and retaliation options.
Legendary families and set bonuses
Each Legendary family contains seven pieces, with set bonuses activating at two, three and five equipped pieces. Players can pursue finished Legendary drops from eligible adventures or collect family seals and learn the techniques needed to forge specific pieces.
In addition to drops, players now have the option of crafting the equipment piece their build needs. Both methods lead to the new Legendary equipment families introduced in v62.
Equipment Workshop
The Equipment Workshop brings three options together under Adventure Crafting. It covers forging Legendary set pieces, evolving supported existing set pieces, and transferring compatible investments between two unequipped items you own.
- Forge. Create a Legendary set piece using its learned family technique, profession requirements and materials.
- Evolve. Upgrade supported existing set pieces along their available upgrade paths.
- Transfer. Move compatible investments between two unequipped items you own.
Evolution keeps an item's identity, quality, sockets, installed Sigils and compatible abilities as it becomes stronger. Transfer can move selected improvements, including quality or socket unlocks, into another compatible item.
Improvements are given to the donor, not duplicated, and the workshop shows the costs and changes before confirming. Also, it allows you to preserve your work players had put into their equipment.
Item inspection changes
The item inspection window for both the browser and Android versions has been redesigned. Gear Tier is now shown separately from rarity and crafting quality, and set pieces equipped as part of a set and active bonuses are highlighted in green.
All the stats, sockets and attuned abilities will now be grouped together so you can quickly compare the new weapon with what you currently have.
Theft, PvP loot and retaliation
As always, with the theft workshop, v62 also updates the theft and Deadly PvP loot selection. When you successfully steal something, you'll get a fixed selection of stacks you're eligible to carry, while Deadly PvP will expose eligible carried and equipped stuff under the current protection rules and selection limits.
A caught, identified theft now gives its victim a five-minute opportunity to retaliate. The response is optional, follows normal combat restrictions, and awards no loot or other rewards.
The panel explains current blockers, including Wounded Protection, so players can see why retaliation may be unavailable even while its countdown continues.
