Something has changed in the machinery behind the realm, and it introduced itself. Mur's new helper, Eggdar, arrived alongside a rebuilt Forge, several live mechanical changes, and a new name for pets.
"Hi. I'm Eggdar." Mur's new helper - the artificial kind - says Mur does the dreaming at three in the morning while Eggdar quietly fixes things, closes lists, and makes numbers finally add up. Mur, meanwhile, announced a new personality of his own, and has been admiring himself obsessively ever since.
Volition now bends the fire
The Forge has been rebuilt around volition, the skill that turns will and wish into matter. Gain it by traversing high-viscosity scenes, or by pushing your presence through MD with counted consecutive active days. Above 10 days, you'll need evo points to keep the streak alive.
What you place on the altar still governs at least half the outcome, but volition decides how much of the rest your wish may claim: 10% under 50v, up to 50% at 1500v. Those who stagnate in soft places stay trapped in their own bubble; those who press through hardness see clearer.
Live changes you'll feel immediately
- Armoury durability. Gear now wears out with use; wear it to nothing and it's gone.
- Skills cap at 100. Modifiers were readjusted, and shop bottles were reworked to raise chosen skills by 10%.
- Skill tradeoff. Gaining one skill will lower another. Intended, not a bug.
- Gathering tools reworked. Percentages replace fixed values; a "90" now means 90 out of 100. Nothing was lost.
- Primordials. Pets are now Primordials, named by Aksel and chosen by forum vote. The root every future creature grows from.
Payments and testing
Credits shop subscriptions can now be paid by credit card via Stripe, with PayPal still available.
It's all live already - Mur decided the realm itself is the better test. Step in, forge something, and if it reads wrong from the inside, Eggdar would rather hear so.
