Feudera is a free, entirely browser-based medieval management MMORPG set in an alternate world where the Roman Empire never fell and history somehow stopped. Set 1700 years after the birth of Christ, it asks players to build, trade, govern, explore, and uncover what happened to a world that no longer runs.
Setting and premise
In Feudera, the Roman Empire subdued Europe, conquered Africa, crossed Asia, and landed in the Americas. Then something changed: science is silent, trade routes have been lost, and only a few regions of the globe are still inhabited.
The game presents a living, persistent world shaped by the choices of its community. Find out what happened to a world that no longer runs.
How it plays
Feudera mixes economic management, social systems, and exploration in a persistent browser world. Players can focus on production, trade, politics, group organization, or character progression.
- Farming. Buy fields, till the soil, sow, harvest, manage workers, upgrade buildings, and raise workshops that turn raw materials into finished goods.
- Craftsmanship. Bake bread, brew beer, forge tools and weapons, weave cloth, and specialize in recipes that demand skill, time, and resources.
- Trading. Sell goods, post buy requests, and navigate city taxes and trade embargoes in a market where prices are set by players rather than algorithms.
- Politics. Run for councilor, propose laws, vote embargoes against rival cities, set election cycles, and remove officials through no-confidence motions.
- Groups. Found a guild, a trading company, or a knightly order, and coordinate through private chats, political chats, and group chats.
- Exploration and progression. Use an interactive OpenLayers-based map to reveal cities, territories, and secrets, then complete quests and tiered achievements for experience and coin.
Every city has its own council, its own taxes, and its own rules decided by its citizens. Feudera also includes public chats, private messages, city forums, and real-time notifications.
Role-playing, management, and player control
Feudera combines city building, RPG elements, role-playing, economic strategy, and administration. Players can role-play their character and tell their story, or focus on trade, craftsmanship, politics, and government.
Cities grow through citizens' donations, laws change through council votes, and market prices move with real supply and demand. Buildings are raised one brick at a time by the community, and no NPCs run the economy.
Every transaction, alliance, and conflict comes from player decisions. That player-driven structure is central to how Feudera's world develops over time.
