Shadowrealm: Age of Darkness is a free dark-fantasy persistent browser game (PBBG). Your character lives on while you are away, every deed, coin, and rivalry persists. No download, no wipes, plays in any browser on desktop or mobile.

What you do

  • Commit shadowy deeds for gold and XP, and rise through 8 ranks of power
  • Gear up through crafting and a fully player-driven marketplace
  • Build and upgrade your own stronghold, the Forsaken Hold (idle-builder style)
  • Fight other players: open PVP, ranked arena seasons, and ritual duels
  • Join a guild, climb the leaderboards, and follow a story campaign
  • Test your luck in the casino: blackjack and more, with city-sized stakes

The interface looks great, and the game is packed with activities. Stealing is the core loop, but getting caught lands you in jain you’ll either wait it out for a few minutes, pay the fine, or hope another player breaks you free. Beyond that you can join heists, fight in the arena, jump into PvP, and try your luck at the tavern casino with dice, blackjack, roulette, and more. There’s a surprising amount of content overall, so it’s well worth giving it a shot.

Good game with multiple interesting mechanics and a lot to do. Has some world lore that you can discover and is as immersive as a browser game can be.
Has a positive community and a very attentive and friendly developer. It is still being actively developed and has a lot of potential.
While there is a premium currency you can buy for money (always a controversial topic), there are multiple realistic ways you can earn it in-game. Seems very fair.
Definitely worth a look.

I have been playing for 2 days and all I can say is good.
This is personal opinion but I love the UI, there are a lot of activities to do, your main actions will be stealing which can put you in jail and then you will have to wait for some minutes, pay the tax or maybe some other player take you out, you can also do heists, arena, pvp, there is a casino in the tavern with lot of different games; dices, blackjack, roulette... and there are much more I would recommend to give it a try.

Not your normal mafia based, drug trading, machine gun wielding browser game. Start of in a small town pickpocketing your way to jail, or spend your time breaking your friends our! Arena rankings and pvp are options if that is your tea. Small active community growing everyday, and the most active developer on the market as far as this reviewer is concerned. With a whole road map, active suggestion boards, and what is already a fun game. Just try it out, we welcome you to the shadows!
