Galactica is a browser-based, tick-driven sci-fi strategy game where you start with a single planet and build an economy, a research tree and a fleet. There is nothing to download and nothing to install.
There's a single planet to begin with, and you develop an economy, a research tree, and a fleet. Production, research, construction and movement are resolved once every 60 minutes for everyone all at once.
Your empire will continue to grow while you are at work or asleep. No one gains an advantage by being online at 3am. It's a strategy game that you can play alongside your job.
Choosing a species is a one-time, permanent choice. Each species has its own tech tree, ship line, and a combat mechanic, not a colour swap.
Balance is measured by simulation, not tuned by feel.
Your biggest fleet isn't necessarily going to win. Ship-class targeting, formations, and your rank will decide who wins (and alliances can defend each other).
There are three branches of production: ships, BVR weapons and satellites. After a battle you can read a report of what happened and why.
Farm detection runs automatically on every battle. Multi-accounts are detected automatically and reviewed by a human before any penalty. It is a common complaint with the genre, and we treat it as a feature, not an afterthought.
This is the original Galactica, which launched in 2003 and was later sold. This is a full rebuild by the original creator, using the same world and mechanics, but on a modern codebase.
The game is alive and running. Season 1 started on 1 October 2026, when the universe was reset and everybody began from an equal position. You can join any time: a new planet is protected while you learn the basics, and a tutorial walks you through the economy, your first fleet and your first attack.
