CozmoGame

CozmoGame is a persistent, browser-based space strategy MMO inspired by the classic OGame formula, modernized and actively developed by a solo developer. It centers on shared universes where players mine resources, research technologies, build fleets and defenses, and fight deterministic real-time battles.

Core gameplay

Players build a resource empire with mines, solar plants, satellites, and storage facilities that continue running while offline. The economy is based on three resources, which support construction, research, and fleet production across your planets.

Research includes over a dozen technologies, covering weapon upgrades, drive systems, espionage, and the Interplanetary Research Network, which compounds research speed across all colonies. Fleets range from light fighters and cargo haulers to Battleships, Destroyers, and Death Stars.

Ships can be sent on transport missions, raids, deployments, debris harvests, and deep-space expeditions. Planetary defenses can also be built to fortify colonies against incoming attacks.

Combat, espionage, and expeditions

Combat is fully deterministic and seeded, with rapid-fire chains, smart targeting, shield absorption mechanics, and a 1% damage rule that stops tiny weapons from chipping capital shields. Every battle is reproducible, and players can test fleet compositions in the integrated combat simulator before sending real ships.

Espionage reports can reveal enemy resources, fleet composition, defenses, buildings, research levels, and academy skill investments through multi-layered spy reports. Sensor Disruptors can be used to obfuscate enemy scans of your own planets.

Expedition missions to deep space can return randomized rewards including resources, ships, alien encounters, and jackpot research finds. These missions add another route for expansion beyond direct conflict and standard economy building.

Multiplayer systems

Players can found or join an alliance with real-time chat, shared intelligence, and coordinated attacks. The ACS (Alliance Combat System) supports up to 5 attackers and 7 defenders in a single battle.

Intelligence Pacts let players share attack intel across their full empires for 7 days. Allied planets can also be defended directly through Hold missions, which allow fleets to fight alongside another player's forces.

Highscores are tracked per universe and for alliances across six categories, including economy, research, military, ships destroyed, and ships lost.

Player-friendly structure and Genesis

CozmoGame is free to play and explicitly not pay-to-win. Dark Matter speeds up actions and unlocks convenience features, but does not provide raw combat power that breaks competitive balance.

New players are protected by inactivity flags, vacation mode, imperial protection, and military-based attack restrictions. The game also has weekly updates, an active Discord community, a transparent roadmap, and fast turnaround on bug fixes and feedback.

The flagship official universe, Genesis, launches on May 19, 2026. It is described as persistent, balanced, and built for the long haul.
