Hi there fellow Spacers!

Today marks a major step forward in the Forged Space universe. Back in Alpha, just before moving toward Beta, we introduced the Class Ship system which meant everyone has been flying the standard Marauder Frigate.

That changes today! We have now introduced the first wave of player-crafted ships via Blueprints. This is a tentative but significant step toward a much wider ship ecosystem. It required a huge amount of backend coding to ensure everything connects properly construction, ownership, hangars, trading, swapping, modules plus a boatload of testing.

And now its live.

New Store Now Open Argus Starships Blueprints

The Argus Starships Blueprint Store is now open to the public. Inside, youll find four new ship blueprints. A few important things to know: Ships are not cheap youll need to work for the resources. You must be Captain Level 20 to pilot the new ships. Each blueprint has a build limit of 3 ships, so choose carefully.

You can: Review blueprint resource requirements, see crafting prerequisites, and click the RED info icon to view full ship stats before committing.

Construction Ship Yard

All ships are crafted in the new Construction Ship Yard. If you own a blueprint, you can: Review build requirements See what resources youre missing Begin construction once everything is green Once construction is complete, the ship moves into your Ship Hangar ready for collection.

Ship Hangars & Swapping Ships

Your Hangar now lists all the ships you own across the Galaxy. There is a Hangar at every dockable location. Switching ships is now as easy as changing your jacket. You must be at the same location as the ship. You must meet the Captain level requirement. The ship you were flying is stored safely in the hangar. No fuss. No dismantling required.

Want to reposition ships?

Weve added Shuttles, which will allow you to move about the Galaxy, collecting your ships and making it slightly easier to manage your fleet as it grows. Please don't try combat in a Shuttle it won't end well

Selling Ships

Yes you can sell your crafted ships via the Galactic Emporium. Owned ships will be displayed for sale, and buyers must travel to the docked location to collect them. Player ship trading has begun.

New Ship Variants

This first wave introduces three new variants: Hawk, Peregrine and Sparrow

You can review full stats in the Blueprint Store or directly from your Hangar once owned.

Module Slots (Awakening)

Kriton Blueprints Modules

Module blueprints are available from the Kriton Blueprint Store. Important: Your starter Marauder does NOT have module slots. You must own a ship that supports modules. Frigates can stack two modules. Modules are powerful Ill let you explore the combinations.

Modules are one-time fit only. Removing a module destroys it. Choose wisely.

Changing Ships & Fittings

When swapping ships, you can strip fittings first if you wish. If you dont, the entire ship + fittings are stored together. This means you can jump from Fighter to a Hauler in to a Miner and back again with ease.

Ship Loadout Panel Upgrade

The Ship Loadout interface has matured: Left-hand panel now shows ship details Ship image display added Module slots now visible

Whats Next?

Now that the hard framework is in place, releasing additional ship blueprints will be significantly easier. Lets get these ships flying, iron out any wrinkles you find, and then we expand the fleet. This has been several weeks of careful coding and it pushes Forged Space into its next evolutionary stage.
