Since our original Alpha announcement, Forged Space has taken a significant step forward. Weve now officially moved from Alpha into Open Beta.
To support this transition, a full player wipe has been completed. If you joined us during Alpha, you'll need to create a new account to continue your journey. This was a one-time reset to ensure a clean foundation as we move into a more stable and persistent phase of development.
One of the biggest additions since opening is the introduction of Research. Players can now research new plans which unlock additional options for their assemblers, expanding the crafting and industrial side of the game. Mining, refining, and manufacturing are now fully intertwined, allowing players to progress from raw resource extraction all the way through to advanced production chains.
As before, the economy remains almost entirely player-driven. Around 99% of all items in the game are crafted by players using resources gathered and processed by the community itself. Forged Space is designed as a cooperative, PvE-focused universe where supply, demand, trade routes, and industry emerge naturally from player activity rather than NPC vendors.
With Open Beta underway, development has also shifted to a more structured update cycle. Patch days are moving from daily updates to a weekly cadence, allowing changes to be tested, refined, and delivered in more meaningful increments.
There are no further player wipes planned. From this point forward, progression, industry, and wealth are intended to persist as the game continues to grow.
Forged Space will remain in Open Beta for the foreseeable future. Development is ongoing, new systems are already in progress, and player feedback continues to play a central role in shaping the universe.
