Exciting News from MagicDuel!

MagicDuel has seen a wave of fresh developments lately, bringing more life, strategy, and personality into the realm. A brand-new multiplayer minigame system is now live, opening the door for shared play, social interaction, and new experiences across the lands.

Minigames are now available in the main capitols, including both solo and multiplayer options, with each land offering its own unique flavor. Battleship has joined the lineup, and it can even be played with stakes for extra thrill.

New balance changes also improve fairness during quieter times, especially regarding kill tools. On top of that, the MD AI core has awarded its very first unique tag: Lampkeeper, given to Vahr.

[Friday, 29th May '26] Vahr receives the first tag given by MD itself. : Vahr has received a unique tag from the AI core of MD, which is trained on advanced tools and real-time data. The AI conducted an in-depth profiling of Vahr and assigned him the tag "Lampkeeper," describing him as someone who appreciates the scenes and moods around him, helps identify issues, and supports those who stay.
[Thursday, 28th May '26] Kill tool restrictions during difficult times: Kill tools will be restricted when 50 or fewer people have been active in the past 48 hours to prevent massacres. Additionally, users must have been active at least 15 out of the past 30 days to wield these tools. This policy is seen as fair by some, but it allows a small number of active players to potentially invade Necrovion without the threat of being killed. Creative solutions may still be explored to address this issue.
[Sunday, 24th May '26] Minigames now available as shared items in capitols: Minigames are now available as shared items in each main capital, with a total of 13 games (9 single-player and 4 multiplayer) tailored to the character of each land. The available games include:
**Marind Bell:**
- Naval Board (battleships, multiplayer)
- Pool Table (pool)
- Lucky Coin (coin flip)
- Festival Race (horse race)
**Loreroot:**
- Storybook (multiplayer storytelling)
- Memory Leaves (memory cards)
- Checkers Set (multiplayer)
**Golemus Golemicarum:**
- Knight's Chessboard (multiplayer)
- Stone Crusher (brick breaker)
- Tile Puzzle (tile swap)
**Necrovion (hard to access):**
- Wheel of Fate (casino roulette)
- Shadowdealer's Hold'em (Texas hold'em poker)
- Black Dealer's Table (blackjack)
Each capital starts with 3 copies of each game, and adjustments can be made if a land feels under-served. Those who helped test the games received a permanent copy. Enjoy!
[Friday, 22nd May '26] Battleship minigame can be played with stakes. Each player can bet an item they have , winner gets the opponents item and keeps his.: In the Battleship minigame, players can wager items they possess; the winner takes the opponent's item while retaining their own.
[Monday, 18th May '26] new minigame: Classic battleship multiplayer minigame (without rewards system for now). Thinking to put minigames as shared items at capitols, but need to develop some more to have a fair balance between lands.: A new multiplayer minigame, Classic Battleship, is being introduced without a rewards system. There are plans to make minigames available as shared items in capitals, but additional development is needed to ensure a balanced distribution across different lands.
[Tuesday, 5th May '26] Multiplayer minigames: A new multiplayer minigame infrastructure has been developed in response to Kyphis's request for a storytelling minigame. This system includes features such as chat, player interactions, game master tools, and a rewards dispatcher. Ongoing games are visible in the interface, with notifications above the chat in relevant scenes. Players can request invitations to join games, but only the game master can invite and host. Further ideas for improvements are welcomed.
