Every night next week a rider with no head comes down the road into Avalon. He stops for one player at a time. And he fights exactly as well as you do....World of Avalon is a free medieval role-playing game you play in your browser, on your computer or your phone. From Tuesday 27 October to Monday 2 November it holds All Hallows' Eve, a seven-day Halloween event.Everything in the week runs on Candy. There are four ways to collect it:
- Trick or treat. Knock on up to 5 doors a night. Most give 1 to 3 Candy. A few play tricks, like a bucket of flour tipped over the door frame, but nothing that sends you to the hospital.
- Haunted adventures. Dig in the Old Graveyard, spend a night in the Haunted Manor or carve the Giant Pumpkin. They pay gold as well as Candy, and the graveyard is open to brand new players.
- The Headless Horseman. He rides once a night. Stand in the road and beat him for 5 Candy and a purse of gold.
- Ghost stories. Stuck in the hospital? Tell the ward a ghost story once per stay for 1 to 2 Candy.
Then take it to Granny Gloam's Stall:
- Witch's Brew, 10 Candy. Something green from her cauldron that restores 50 energy.
- Pumpkin Lantern, 20 Candy. A keepsake to hold on to, or sell.
- Cursed Chest, 25 Candy. Mostly gold or Candy inside. Sometimes a curse, but only one that looks scary.
- 2026 Candied Apple, 30 Candy. One per player, and only this year.
Or don't spend it at all. The three players who collect the most Candy by the end of 2 November win a Jack-o'-Lantern Crown, and nobody else will ever have one.So who has the best chance at the crown? The player who has been here since 2007?Not necessarily. The Horseman copies whoever stands in the road, so a hero who signed up that morning faces the same fight as a veteran. The doors, the graveyard and the ghost stories are open to everyone from day one.
